Amy Creegan, LMFT

Amy Creegan is happy to join Anchor Counseling Center. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been working with individuals and families for 10 years. She received her Bachelors in Psychology and Master’s Degree of Science with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Rhode Island.

Amy offers individual and family therapy with a systems approach. She specializes in working with children and parenting skills building. Amy has extensive experience and has had consistent success working with children with Autism. She utilizes visuals, schedules, first/then, sensory strategies, psycho education and many other evidenced based Behavior Modification techniques which are also successful with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, Depression, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). Shaping behavior techniques along with strengths based interventions have helped to improve adjustment in the home, school, and community.

Amy helps individuals, couples, and families with a variety of issues using solution focused techniques and a friendly, warm, and engaging approach. She strives to develop positive relationships and help clients gain insight into their lives and increase quality of life and relationships. Amy is currently accepting clients on a wait list at Anchor Counseling Center and is looking forward to joining this great team!
