Tina Ptaszek, LMHC
Tina Ptaszek is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who completed her Masters and CAGS (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies) at Rhode Island College. Tina has been providing counseling and or therapy in Rhode Island for 14 years. Tina has more than 13 years experience working with children and adolescents in both home based services as well as alternative school settings, where she was also a clinical supervisor. She has been working for Anchor Counseling for Since 2009 and treat an array of mental health issues with all ages.
Tina most often utilizes a Reality Therapy approach focusing on choices and the future. However, she is also flexible and will utilize whichever modality would best suit the client needs. She recognizes that there is no “one size fits all” approach when helping people. She encourages people to identify their strengths and helps them to build upon those. Tina’s goal is to have clients meet their personal goals and to restore optimum functioning in their lives. Goal setting is always a collaborative effort, which the client needs to play an active role in determining. Clients can be assured of a safe, supportive environment in which to work through any problems or issues they are encountering at this time in their lives.
