Lyn Furcht, LICSW

Lyn Furcht is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who completed her Master of Social Work at Boston College.

Lyn has worked for over 20 years in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island with children and families.

She has had extensive experience working with children who were traumatized and either physically or sexually abused.  She uses a play therapy approach with young children to help them express their experiences non-verbally. 

With older children, and adults, Lyn uses a Cognitive Behavoral approach and psycho-education, to help them learn to manage their reactions. 

May oppositional children are fearful, and there are a number of strategies useful to help the family improve their functioning as a healthy system.  Lyn also uses techniques from “Love and Logic”, which utilize humor and
