Addiction Counseling can be appropriate for individuals of all ages.  This may include children, adolescents, or adults.  The therapy sessions are used for assessing the addiction, education around the addiction and together formulating a goal for the patient.  The therapist and patient will agree on a treatment plan.  This may also involve your primary care physician.

We treat individual who are addicted to alcohol, street drugs, prescription pills such as pain killers.  Individual therapy, group therapy, and a collaboration with your primary physician may be needed.  We will assist in building ways to make healthy choices and increasing your support system.

During addiction counseling, we often discover that there are co-existing disorders.  These issues may be affecting the overall functioning of the person dealing with the addiction.  We may identify them and come up with a strategy to deal with those as well.

Each individual is different.  Each length of treatment will depend on the individual and the substance or thing they are addicted to.  We may make help you make additional referrals if we feel the severity is such that more support is needed.

With offices in East Providence, Cranston, and Lincoln, we are often able to get patients in quickly to get the help they need.  You can contact us now!
